As the Valentine’s Day draws near, many men’s dream may be shattered because of one singular oversight — the lack of vitamin D.

Scientists are saying that despite whatever sexual prowess you may prove to have, all your boasting may soon become history if you are short on this vitamin!
According to a new research from Italy, low levels of vitamin D may increase your risk of erectile dysfunction and literally make it hard for you to get hard!
The researchers warn that men with severe cases of erectile dysfunction usually have vitamin D levels that are about 24 percent lower than those of men with mild forms of the condition.
Insufficient levels of vitamin D may spur the production of free radicals called superoxide ions, says study author, Dr. Alessandra Barassi.
She says these free radicals deplete the body’s nitric oxide — a molecule that helps the blood vessels to function properly.
The result: It makes it hard to get hard.
If you are healthy, the nitric oxide causes your blood vessels to relax, which increases the blood flow and causes an erection under normal circumstances,” says a urologist, Dr. Larry Lipshultz
Without the necessary amounts of nitric acid, your blood vessels may not relax enough to allow for an erection.
Apart from taking Vitamin D supplements, you can also feast on foods that are rich in Vitamin D. They include fatty fish such as tuna, mackerel, and salmon; beef liver, cheese and egg yolks. Foods fortified with vitamin D include some dairy products, orange juice, soy milk, and cereals.
