5 Safer Sex Positions You Need in Your Life

Safer sex is something that's talked about a lot, but not actually practiced enough. People still make absurd excuses to not wear condoms or think that STIs can only be contracted through penetrative sex, so they avoid using anything for, say, blowjobs. While a partner might pressure you to not use protection, just know that it's not something you should put up with. Because the truth is, safer sex positions are even hotter because you know you're exercising caution. So have at it and enjoy–without the worry.

1
The Double Finger Bang

If reduced sensation or latex friction are an issue, 1. Lube makes everything better and 2. Slide two fingers in a “V” shape to stroke yourself and/or press them against the underside of their penis to give them the feeling of a tighter fit. Put a shit-ton of pillows under your butt so your partner has to get up on their haunches, making it feel extra raw and animalistic.

2
The Tickler

People sometimes think oral sex doesn’t count as far as STI transmission, but you can absolutely catch chlamydia, gonorrhea, HPV, herpes and syphilis from a blowjob. Put the condom on with your mouth, using your lips to roll it down the shaft (skip spermicidal condoms which taste super gross and opt for flavored ones instead.) Suck the head of the penis and stroke the shaft with your hand, then tart it up by pressing your boobs together and sliding their peen between them.

3
The Dam, Girl

Dental dams—rectangles of protective plastic placed over your vulva during oral sex to protect mouth from genitals and vice versa—have a side benefit that lets you go a little dirtier. The receiver gets on all fours, giver gets behind, drapes the dam over vulva and bum hole and commences licking. It's good, close access without the whole butt-in-the-face aspect. And if you want to experiment with a little rimming, well, the dental dam is like a disposable toilet seat cover, letting you make some contact without full-on touching.

4
The Full Circle

The female condom, the sort of funny sidekick to the more famous male condom, has an inner ring that nestles inside your vagina, fitting over your cervix and an outer ring that covers your vulva. You put it in just before the boning commences and remove it right after. The FC's particular superpower is that it can be kept in for up to eight hours, so you can just get to it when you see each other. Press the ring of the FC against your clit for some bonus stimulation with each thrust.

5
The Show and Tell

If you've got nothing on you right now and don’t want to go outside, it's mutual masturbation for you, my friends. Lie side by side, switching between masturbating each other and touching yourselves. It's not only safe, but great for learning what makes each other lose your minds.
